Learn about this Grant-Funded Opportunity to Increase Colorectal Cancer Screening Rates at your Health Center

The League, with support from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and funding from the Centers for Disease Control, is offering three federally qualified health centers the opportunity to participate in a learning collaborative designed to increase colorectal cancer screening. This opportunity will include:

  • Learning sessions, held virtually for the foreseeable future, to provide information about interventions and system developments connected to improved screening rates
  • Site-specific coaching focused on executing PDSA cycles, overcoming barriers, and implementation of evidence-based interventions
  • Systems and data support in the use of registries and tracking of FIT kits and colonoscopy referrals

Members of past learning collaborative cohorts are eligible to apply.  Recipients of the Tier 1 ISCCCE research grant for dual screening are NOT eligible for funding.

Webinar agenda items will include:

  • Eligibility requirements and application process
  • Structure of the learning collaborative, suggested team members and technical assistance offered
  • Discussion of learning session content delivery in light of Covid19 
  • Time commitment for participants and grant dollars associated with this initiative
  • Evidence-based interventions 
  • Assessment and evaluation process
